Associate Director - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsibilities:

Provision of high-quality consultancy services encompassing the following:
  • Contract administration relating to disputes and claims under construction contracts
  • Preparation of extension of time, loss and expense and variation claims
  • Analysis of claims received from contractors/sub-contractors on behalf of Employers / Owners
  • Prior experience either assisting a quantum or delay expert or acting as a testifying quantum or delay expert witness in arbitration, litigation or adjudication proceedings or a desire to aspire to providing such services in the near future


 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building Technology / Construction Management / Civil/Structural Engineering / Architecture or similar (knowledge of the interpretation of construction contracts is an added advantage)
  • Membership of a relevant Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture Professional Institution  
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience
  • Previous experience in the preparation of analysis of claims and provisions of contractual advice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office include Excel, Word and Powerpoint, (Microsoft Project or Primavera where relevant to previous work experience but not essential)
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English language
  • The candidate will possess a high level of integrity, conforming to relevant professional standards as required by the institution to which the candidate belongs as well as strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead a team or work entirely independently in delivering assignments within tight timescales and budgets

 

Preference will be given to Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director.  Salary and benefits will be commensurate with previous work experience and qualifications.
